SENTOSA

This entire blog entry will be about my 1 night stay at sentosa over the weekend for fathers day.

Last time i stayed at Rasa Sentosa was when i was just in p sch !

Hotel looks have not changed much.

View from my room was quite nice though. Then again it WAS called the sea viewing room. I would feel really cheated if i saw only trees.

Took this shot from my room. Amazing how far the phone cam can zoom. All these shots are from my phone btw. I think its crazy to walk around sentosa on a BLISTERING hot sunday afternoon in your wedding gown.


What would the sentosa experience be without peacocks ! and damn i din know they could fly -_- until one flew over me while i charged at it hmm.

Had brunch at the sentosa golf club's fathers day buffet event. Being kiasu we reached at 11.15. buffet started at 11. needless to say all the other tables were empty and i had the honour of destroying each dish :) i love being the first to mess up the salad, deface the icecream and ruin the mango pudding lalala.

Played in the sun in the afternoon. Lyn joined my family around 3. Swam and later went to the beach to play some volleyball. Was quite noob and lyn was very very quick to rub it in but HEY AT LEAST I DIN GET HIT BY A BALL. oh did i mention she got smacked in the eye by a ping pong ball when my bro tried a killer smash :P Pity my phone wasn with me so i couldn take any pics on the beach :( oh we rented a kayak too. lyn my bro n i for 30 mins. i gotta feeling she capsized the kayak on purpose cos there was NO reason why it would capsize all of a sudden. Drank a huge mouth of salty sea water. YUCKS. while trying to turn the kayak over i kinda made the mistake of going beneath the kayak. hmm. once again i took another mouthful of sea water -_-

Had dinner at the barnacles. I have no idea why they say they welcome guests from all walks of life. hmm what kinda motto is that man and the food is not exactly cheap.

The seafood platter with lobster, crab, some sort of sea snails plus winkles.

For those going wtf is a winkle. Heres how it looks like out of the shell. Smells like shit i tell ya. had to wash my hand with soap b4 the main course arrived.

Sea snails ! dont think they are called escargots but they are REAL CHEWY. Getting them out of the shell was rather difficult but definitely rewarding :D

My half of the lobster. Check out the huge slabs of succulent juicy white lobster meat. OMG heavenly la. probably one of the best lobsters i have eaten. Then again at 57 bucks per person for this appetizer dish alone i guess its worth the price.


Parents ordered an australian prime rib to share. They kinda over ordered so we had to take away some of that meat. Think im gonna have it in porridge form tmr. what a waste :(

And my tenderlion with foie gras on top. I think im weird. Despite watching the disgusting video on how the geese are force fed till their livers become diseased and accumulate fat to enormous portions with the liver being so huge that the other internal organs are compressed till they eventually suffocate to death due to compression of their lungs. i still cant help but love the taste of foie gras especially since it just melts in your mouth !

The next morning, went to try the luge for fun.


First time round i was quite cautious. took the bends rather slowly and my bro who was trailing behind went "EH KOR FASTER U R CRAMPING MY STYLE" I couldn help being careful cos the image of me flying out of my snowmobile in japan was still fresh in my mind. albeit there would be no pile of soft fluffy snow to fly into this time.

Decided to go for a 2nd round because i realised the luge was actually quite stable at high speeds. Sadly by then the route was more crowded with ppl and i couldn exactly chiong. had to weeve in and out of small kids and fat ladies who were CRAWLING. OMG one of them even bashed into the kerb while going so slowly. I salute them.

GUYS LETS GO SENTOSA NX WEEK. i know a way to spend minimally and still ENJOY :D
